Born and raised in Toledo, OH, Scott developed a love for music at an early age. He graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Commercial Music/Composition and Arranging, and has made Nashville, TN his home ever since.
Over his career, Scott has worked and played with artists, groups, writers, and producers spanning a broad range of genres. From writing string or horn charts to creating full orchestrations, arranging for big band to playing with a cover band, Scott is comfortable in a wide variety of musical environments.
A 20+ year veteran of the music business, Scott is currently serving as Project Manager of ArrangeMe.com, Hal Leonard Music's self-publishing division, where he helps composers and arrangers form all over the globe publish and make their music available to musicians worldwide. Scott is also an active arranger, orchestrator, and musician in Nashville and beyond and has published work with Word Music, LifeWay Music, Lillenas Publishing, and Hal Leonard.
Scott is the co-creator of his son, Carter, and a rabid college basketball fan, rooting for his Belmont Bruins and the UNC Tar Heels. During the off-season, he cheers for his beloved Detroit Tigers and dreams of them once again hoisting the Commissioner's Trophy in October.
